Bruno'S Biography
Bruno was born in the rainy part of Snoozeeland, called Van Voucer, where there is an abundant supply of plants, flowers, and trees. There’s plenty of food and nourishment, which is probably why Bruno grew up to be so big and strong. It’s been said that he has the strength of 150 Vykans!
When Bruno was a boy, his friends recall the day when he was playing in the school yard and an ominous, dark storm cloud quickly formed overhead. Without warning, a powerful bolt of lightning lashed out and struck the huge, old, wooden fort that was the centerpiece of the playground causing it to burst into flames and collapse, immediately pinning one of Bruno’s classmates under its massive weight. Other kids jumped into action trying to avoid the ferocious flames and lift the large fort, but it wouldn’t budge. The girl pinned under its weight was struggling to breathe…..time was running out for her.
Bruno, having heard screams coming from the playground, had come sprinting at full speed. He motioned for the other kids to clear away, then wrapped his burly arms around the fort’s main post and lifted with all his might, but it wouldn’t move. So he tried a different angle and went to lift it again, but this time his hands slipped and were singed by hot, burning embers. Just then, he felt the surge…..the surge of incredible power and energy that pulsed through his entire body! The veins on his arms and legs popped up as if trying to escape his skin. His eyeballs bulged in his eye sockets, and his muscles swelled to three times their size. He gave a mighty heave on the beam - you could hear his teeth grind together as a guttural roar came from deep within his belly - and this time the beam began to lift….just enough for the other kids to pull the girl from the jaws of death. Bruno quickly released the beam and looked at his scorched hands.
The kids in the playground that day were stunned with amazement, unable to understand what they had just witnessed. Their friend, Bruno, had just saved a life. He had performed a feat of legendary strength and bravery, and had become their hero.
For as big and strong as Bruno is, he has a soft spot in his heart for beautiful flowers. His favorite kind is the Gerbera Daisy - periwinkle blue in color, to be specific. It’s a delicate flower that comes in many colors and sprouts up from the soil every spring. Bruno built a greenhouse and has been growing different kinds of flowers all year round. He loves to nurture the plants until they become mature and show off their vibrant colors. He likes to make flower bouquets and give them to his best friends as gifts….it makes him feel good.
Here’s a bit of a secret that a lot of people don’t know about Bruno…..he doesn’t like fire. And how could anyone blame him? Remember that old, wooden fort that was struck by lightning and caught fire at his school playground? Well, he burned his hands that day and the memory has stayed with him ever since. Sometimes it comes back to haunt him and he has nightmares about it. That’s when Bruno uses his strength the most…..the strength of his mind to overcome his fear - and imagines floating in a nice cool pool with plenty of water around.
